Do a drive-by/walk-by. ✅
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 stars
Pros: Cool to be able to say you’ve been to the Southernmost Point in the continental United States.
Cons: Tourist trap. There is a large buoy there that says “Southernmost Point” that people pose in front of and the line can wrap around the corner to wait for a picture.
What is it?:
Technically the Southernmost Point of the continental United States is Whitehead Spit that is down a ways further but it’s not accessible to the public so Southernmost Point is really the Southernmost Point in the continental United States accessible to the public. It’s right around the corner of the butterfly conservatory and the area is worth walking around in, but be wary of the line for the buoy picture. I saw people stand there for over half an hour while we hung out and drank coconut juice.
