What is it?:
The Edison (Thomas Alva Edison) family’s winter estate, and right next door, the Ford (Henry Ford) family’s winter estate.
GO – If you’re in Fort Myers you should visit. The grounds are gorgeous, the story behind the Edison/Ford friendship is fascinating and there’s a Banyan Tree there that’s been there since the early 20th century.
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💫4.5/5 stars
Pros: The grounds are large enough that the kids can go running. Beautiful view of the bay. Banyan trees and various plants even in the dead of winter are stunning. Fascinating piece of history.
Cons: Might be a little boring for younger kids.
