Church Free Louisiana Miscellaneous New Orleans

Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis – New Orleans, LA

What is it?:
NOLA’s cathedral, adjacent to Jackson Square. This is the home to the famous Scallop Shell Pulpit.

Bottom line:
GO — If you have time, stay for a mass, or part of it (even if you’re not all that religious. It’s an experience), and if you’re short on time, do a walk through.  As with any place of worship, mind your attire, even if it’s during the summer.

Overall:  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 stars

Pros: Beautiful architecture. I love beautiful ceilings and this church definitely has one of those.
Cons: No cons really; it’s a church though so be sure to be respectful. If religious places isn’t your jam, just walk past the front. The exterior architecture is worth a gander too.
