What is it?:
Rescue, rehab, release aquarium. The only mammals they have onsite are those who are unable to be released to the wild. This aquarium is home to Winter the dolphin, star of the movie Dolphin Tale. It’s a movie about the true story of how she lost her tail and was fitted with a prosthesis. She can now swim without it and it’s amazing to see her get around just as well as any other dolphin. Pretty neat place.
GO – Totally worth the cost. It’s a small aquarium in terms of exhibits but I could spend all day watching the dolphins play so if you’re a fan, you’re definitely in for a treat. Note: I said play, not perform. You can watch them from under the aquarium play with their toys.
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4.5/5 stars
Pros: A great rehab facility. Watch the dolphins play and the pelicans bob and weave. They have some sharks, eels, and otters as well.
Cons: Not that many exhibits so if you’re looking for colorful fish displays, this is not the place to go.
