What is it?:
A large hangar-size warehouse that is where they keep all the Mardi Gras floats pre and post Mardi Gras. If you’re there during parade season (from Epiphany through Mardi Gras) you’ll see them setting some up outside.
Bottom line:
GO — A MUST SEE. See how the artists create the floats and experience them up close. During parade season there are often Krewe open houses. We were there during Orpheus’ open house and were able to see the floats for free and participate in a festival-like setting where there were drinks available and a marching band playing.
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars
Pros: See how floats are made and see the finished products up close. They’re amazing pieces of art.
Cons: The price is a little steep.
